A pod of possibilites
In Mile End Park between Solebay Bridge and Hamlets Way sits a green container. With no markings or clue to what it is you need to catch it at a certain time to discover its hidden gems.
A trampoline, netting to make hammocks, tents, dressing up clothes, straw bales, ropes, scooters, picnic blankets and other odds and ends.
We call it our Play Pod and its been a place to play in Mile End Park for 5 years. PATH playworkers open it up on some Saturdays and recently every Friday after school to stop and play and enjoy the warm October and last of the autumn sunshine before the clocks went back.
Now its getting darker earlier its time to wrap up and remember the thrill of hide and seek in the dark, the joy of glow sticks and games using light and dark.
It doesn't matter what time of year it is, every day is a good day to play. We've moved from the Play Pod to Mile End Children Park on Fridays so come and find us there. From 3.30 - 6.00pm on Fridays PATH playworkers will be at the Children's Park on Locksley Street
