Funded By BBC Children in Need, this project was delivered from 2015 - 2016, working with specialist schools within Tower Hamlets to meet play needs of disabled children, their brothers and sisters, and friends.
The work started with watching children at play and working with parents and schools staff teams to remember why play is important and explore the role of play in the lives of children with disabilities.
With particular invitations to these families and a reach out campaign to similar families throughout the borough, PATH ran a series of Every Child Play Days at play settings throughout Tower Hamlets in 2015 and 2016.
These events were a second stage in the development of inclusive work for all the children of the borough. The first stage was a series of themed playdays in Victoria Park and the production of the Inclusive Play Map of Victoria Park. The maps are the project legacy and you can collect them from the Hub Building in Victoria Park.
