PATH - Working Together for Play.

Community Play in Mile End

Building on 7 years of Community Play Development in the Mile End area of Tower Hamlets Wednesday play sessions were run from either the Cow Garden or Southern Grove community centre.

Over the years these sessions have been funded by Wakefield and Tetley Trust, BBC Children in Need, East End Homes and Public Health. Now at the end of all the funding for these sessions PATH will stay in touch with children and families and sign post to other local activities for children.

For updates on work around Mile End see the Greetings from Mile End Facebook page.

The Community Play Development in the area has seen play sessions accross different estates, play spaces redesigned, community led events and Southern Grove community centre offer knitting clubs, film nights, community feasts and other playful ideas so local people of all ages get to play.

'The String of Beads' and 'The Plog' are a part of the development of this strand of PATH's work.
