Community Play Evaluation

Community Play Evaluation

PATH has been delivering play on estates in Tower Hamlets since 2003 when we started work on Ocean estate in Stepney.

During this time we have met hundreds of children and their families, written many reports for funders and show cased our work at the East London Play Conferences as well as in other boroughs and countries.

Since 2010 PATH has had funds from 10 different funders to deliver play sessions on estates around the borough, in response to requests from local people PATH has accessed capital funds to create new play spaces close to where children live. We call projects by different names, chosen by a funder, by the PATH team, most importantly local families know its a PATH play session. We have called this work Community Play

PATH wanted all the strands of Community Play to be documented as a learning and development tool for us as an organisation and comissioned writer and researcher Tim Gill to work with us.

We want to share the evaluation report as a resource to other play organisations or any project wanting to see more children playing within the communities they live in.
