Child's play helps build a better brain

This report came out in August 2014 and is a very interesting read about the positive effects play has on children's brains.

The Playwork Principles state ''Play is a biological, psychological and social necessity'' as playworkers we know play has huge benefits for children and is an essential part of a happy childhood.

Scientists say in this report that play is good for the brain and increases social skills. Rightly so no adult would allow testing on their children's brains so Neuroscientist Jaak Panksepp did some tests on rats and what effects play has on their brains.
